Serious car enthusiasts will be knocking down the door of the dealer selling this Ferrari 288 GTO Evoluzione. It's for sale in Ascot, UK and the price is P.O.A. (Who'd have guessed that)
Only 5 Evoluziones were made and it was the direct predecessor to the F40. And, damn it's good looking

It's like someone took the 288 GTO and made it hideous.

Didn't the evoluzione come before the F40? So wouldn't this make it the predecessor ?
Besides that though, I love this car's speed, but was never really one for the look. It reminds me of the old molser consuliers. "As ugly as it is fast, and it is really damn fast".

I'm a sucker for cars that come from the factory with AN and Push-Connect fittings.

Basically made for the Group B sportscar class that never saw the light of day because group B rally was too dangerous.

This is one of my favorite Ferraris, the only thing that keeps it from being perfect is that the wing isn't wide enough (IMO) and that the rear looks incredibly strange with that downward extension.

That is a MASSIVE wastegate

I will agree that the rear is weird and that the wing could be wider, but otherwise it's amazing.

Aesthetically I'd be more fussed on the weird nose.

I think it's an arrow from an early version of Snag-It.

I think it's a hand brake, bro.

I'm actually not that bothered by the nose, but then again I love anything that has pop-ups and is from the 80s.

Makes sense. Looks like it has several settings, so it must be some sort of a hand brake brake bias selector, or something.
Totally justified in a sweet drift car like that.

Agreed, you can't be expected to pull mad drifts without such an adjustable system. Without it the car would just be a waste.

Sorry its just hideous. I'll take a normal GTO
I only forgive the evoluzione's existence because its an F-40 predecessor; ugly, but purposely built, which most likely gave us one of the most epic cars ever.
